Secure your priority slot for Q2 2026 Strategic Vendor Selection.
Twisted Wall

The cost of a bad decision is higher than the price of the software.

  • Are you relying on generic sales demos and slide decks to verify critical technical requirements?

  • Do you fear signing a 3-year contract only to discover the "seamless integration" requires six months of custom engineering?

  • If the CFO asks “Why this vendor?”, do you have the data-backed audit to defend the choice, or just a gut feeling?

Solution

Our Three-Step Stewardship Process provides a clear, structured path to de-risk your most critical software selection projects and ensure its successful implementation.

Step 1:
Operational Diagnostic

We go beyond a simple requirements list. Through structured questionnaires and deep-dive stakeholder workshops, we conduct a forensic audit of your operations. We distinguish between internal process gaps and true technical needs to ensure we are solving the right problem.

Step 2:
Market Screening

We aggregate performance data across the entire vendor landscape, moving from a universal long-list to a verified short-list. After vendor stress-testing and demos, we deliver a transparent analysis of the Top 3 contenders, giving you the data to defend the final choice.

Step 3:
Execution Blueprint

We deliver a Board-Ready Decision Package: a Strategic Roadmap and an Implementation Risk Assessment guide your team’s deployment. Optionally, we act as your Commercial Advisor, leading the final vendor negotiations to secure favorable terms and clear service-level guarantees.

Proven Outcomes

Our diagnostic framework was developed and refined through years of experience solving complex operational challenges in high-stakes environments. By applying rigorous Decision Architecture, we ensure projects deliver value weeks after signing, not years.

From Manual Entry to Intelligent Automation

  • The Bottleneck: Manual entry of non-standard documents was costing the firm thousands of analyst hours.

  • The Decision Architecture: Off-the-shelf OCR tools failed our stress tests. We architected a custom workflow and selected a specialized "Intelligent Document Processing" (IDP) partner capable of handling high variability.

  • The Outcome: Cut manual processing time by up to 75%, boosted team morale, and eliminated costly human errors.

Scaling Procurement Operations

  • The Bottleneck: Disconnected tools hampered the Procurement team's efficiency and ability to scale its operations.

  • The Decision Architecture: A central, integrated system was needed to automate processes and unlock critical vendor and contract analytics. We architected the system requirements, selected the ideal Vendor Management platform, and stewarded its full implementation.

  • The Outcome: Boosted team productivity by 20%, automated core processes, and enabled effortless scaling of operations.

Cutting Through the ESG Market Noise

  • The Bottleneck: A global distributor needed to replace manual Excel workflows to meet strict EUDR & CBAM compliance deadlines.

  • The Decision Architecture: We have analyzed 30+ vendors and identified a critical market bifurcation between overpriced legacy giants and agile challengers, applying a 65-point scoring model to filter the noise.

  • The Outcome: Delivered a validated Execution Roadmap while preventing over-investment in misaligned legacy tools.

No Blank Checks. No Billable Hours. Just Shared Success.

Unlike traditional consultancies that bill by the hour regardless of results, we operate on a strict Fixed-Fee Project Basis. You pay for a defined Strategic Asset, not open-ended time.

Why Outcome Stewards Exists

I built this practice to be the partner I wish I had.

My name is Bogdan Kolos. I founded Outcome Stewards to solve a specific problem I encountered throughout my career: even the best teams fail when they have to execute a flawed decision.

Too often, I saw companies select critical software or partners based on sales pitches rather than technical reality. The result was years of "patching" systems that were never the right fit to begin with.

I created this practice to be the partner I wish I had - an independent expert who bridges the gap between the decision and the delivery. As your Principal Steward, I provide the market analysis and architectural oversight to ensure you don't just buy a solution, but actually solve the problem.

Frequently asked questions

How are you different from a traditional management consultant?

Traditional consultants sell "Time." They are incentivized to prolong the problem to bill more hours. We sell "Certainty." We operate on a strict Fixed-Fee Model, meaning our only incentive is to reach the correct decision as efficiently as possible.

Why not just hire a project manager?

A Project Manager manages the timeline of a decision that has already been made. An Architect ensures the quality of the decision itself. If you assign a PM to execute a flawed vendor choice, you simply arrive at a failed outcome faster. We ensure the blueprint is correct before you pour the concrete.

How is your market research different from a global consulting firm?

Traditional firms rely on their "Rolodex" - they recommend the vendors they already know (and often partner with). We rely on Market Exhaustion. We use proprietary data engines to scan the entire market - from established giants to niche disruptors - to find the exact fit for your needs. We don't recycle old answers; we generate fresh data for every project.

Is this just "Outsourced Procurement"?

No. Procurement teams are excellent at compliance and price negotiation, but they often lack the operational context to verify if a tool will actually work in your environment. We bridge that gap. We function as Solution Architects who validate the functional claims - ensuring the "Seamless Integration" promised in the demo actually supports your workflow.

Why shouldn't I just go directly to the software vendor?

Conflict of Interest. A vendor’s goal is to maximize their license revenue. Our goal is to minimize your risk. We act as an independent firewall between your team and the vendor's sales tactics, ensuring that what is promised in the demo is legally binding in the contract.

What does a typical engagement look like?

We offer three structured tiers of engagement:

  • The Market Scan: For rapid visibility (Public Data).

  • The Strategic Roadmap: For deep validation (Interviews & Demos).

  • Executive Stewardship: For end-to-end commercial negotiation.
